AllEars

AllEars is a voice recording and voice recognition tool that lets you navigate up to 99 contacts using speech alone and then send a ‘Voice Email’ to the contact of your choice with only a single tap, who will receive your recording as a multi-platform-compatible audio file attachment. OpenEars

OpenEars is an open-source implementation of round-trip English language speech recognition and text-to-speech for the iPhone and iPad using the CMU Pocketsphinx and CMU Flite libraries. Learn more

What I did: "OpenEars makes use of two other open-source libraries of long standing, CMU Pocketsphinx and CMU Flite, which I'm not directly involved with. I designed an iOS API for making use of them on the iPhone, with continuous voice recognition on a background thread, UI hooks, and monitoring of Audio Session states in order to be able to respond to changes in the audio environment, developed it using Core Audio, C, and NSThread among other technologies, created a perl installer for its static libraries, and extensively documented its installation and use."

Tricktionary

Finally, the first mobile instructional application for windsurfing is reality!!
You bring the Tricktionary book everywhere, but it suffers from taking it to the beach and travelling with it? You don’t have and don’t want to carry a mobile DVD player everywhere you go?
Well, you take your mobile everywhere, right?

Analyze each step by zooming in, view the video a couple of times to understand the movement and go on the water RIGHT NOW!!

All the manoeuvres that are in the Tricktionary book and on the Tricktionary DVD are also available in the app!!
We seperated the moves into 4 packages, Beginners, Non-jumping, Jumping and Wave. The free content includes the Beginner pack and several demo moves of each of the advanced chapters.
Version 1 will only be available in English, translations will automatically be downloaded with the coming updates.

This is the first version – feedback in form of bug reports, feature requests and reviews is very much appreciated and possible right through a feedback-form inside the app.

The common assumption is that if you don’t have a car, or simply don’t want to drive, you can’t reach parks and hiking in your area. We happen to disagree. There are a surprising number of transit options serving our country’s park systems, and the Transit & Trails iOS app allows you to take full advantage of this public resource.

Transit & Trails help you locate nearby outdoor attractions including trailheads, campgrounds, and pre-set trips. Once you’ve found a hike or campground you want to check out, use the app to plan a trip via public transit, all on your mobile device. Consider some of the many advantages:

Oddage

I built Oddage for two reasons: iPhone games often miss the mark by taking too long to load and by creating game experiences that require too much time investment.

Oddage is a time wasting utility: for a short span of time, usually 60 - 90 seconds, you'll be fully engrossed in its gameplay. At the end of that period, you get a score and you can play again. I hate being bored while waiting in line. Oddage means the end to the threat.

Gameplay is simple: four words appear. Three belong together and the fourth does not. Find the odd word quickly to earn points. As the player progresses, the word list grows from four all the way to ten words. Learn more

Tallymander

I can't keep track of numbers in my head. Once a month, I have to gather up my drycleaning. This means counting up the articles I'm taking. Instead of having recount several times, I decided to build Tallymander to solve the problem once and for all.

Tallymander lets you count anything. You can tap to count or, optionally, give your iPhone a firm shake. Learn more

Templar Crusader

Once upon a time, I spent my free time in Second Life. I became a content developer because I wanted cool toys to play with and, sadly, most developers in Second Life produced crap. I designed the Templar Crusader because I love a good science fiction robot. It boasted a first-of-its-kind HUD that let users blast targets out of the sky, change the colors on their avatar, and even provided access to help and software updates. It was a uniquely friendly user experience, especially for Second Life. Crusader even unpacked itself from its box after purchase.
